本会会徽及其意义The Meaning of BCCM Logo
The Sail Boat: Represents the historical background. The Founders of the Basel Church had traveled far from southern China to Sabah, having to cross rough and turbulent seas. But with Jesus as the Helmsman, they had arrived safely. They brought with them their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and established the BCCM in their new homeland.
The Sail: B is for Basel, the name of our church; at the same time it represents our origin which is the Basel Mission, and declares that the origin of our church is the city of Basel, Switzerland.
The Dove: is the symbol of the Holy Spirit and His guidance, shining and leading us.
The Cross: represents the redemption, salvation, love and victory of Christ.
Mount Kinabalu: represents our state, Sabah. At the same time it symbolizes God’s greatness, power; the church’s foundation, vision and development.
Circle: God’s blessing, God’s love is complete, good and gracious; in the Lord we are one, united to spread the Gospel.
Red: the cleansing blood of Christ, the fire of the Holy Spirit kindling our hearts: full of faith, hope, love, zeal and wisdom to face challenges, courageously heading forward.
Blue: means unity, fraternity, long-lasting, eternal, peace, and warmth.
